USD 211 continues to be committed to providing a safe environment for all students and staff and to effectively help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, in order to keep our schools open and safe for in-person learning
USD 211 asks families to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms (fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion) as well as other infectious disease symptoms before sending a student to school.
Families are asked to communicate with the school if there is a positive case in the home.
USD 211 will continue to encourage students and staff on hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and staying home if you feel ill. Students and staff may return to school 24 hours fever free without the use of fever reducing medications and upon improvement of symptoms.
If community levels become high, USD 211 will follow recommendations from our local health department, our local county Health Officer, KDHE and CDC.
